How to remove available course block from the site home page

The available courses block is fetched from the Moodle core and is not a part of the homepage builder. 

To remove the available course block navigate to Site Administration > Frontpage > Front Page Settings. Find the options “Frontpage” and “Front page items when logged in“. Remove “List of Courses” from the relevant dropdown menu by selecting the option “None”. Save your changes.
